Mr. Hatem Ahmed Hekal head of Legal Affairs at Sawaeed Holding Company in Abu Dhabi, where he oversees the company’s legal operations, ensures full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, manages disputes and arbitration proceedings and provides strategic legal counsel to senior leadership to safeguard corporate interests.
Throughout his career, he has accumulated more than 23 years of extensive experience in law, legal consultancy, and corporate legal management across major organization in the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. He has established a strong reputation for his expertise in regulatory compliance, legal risk management, drafting and negotiating high – level commercial agreements, and handling complex corporate matters.
Mr. Hatem began his career as a lawyer and legal consultant in Egypt, providing legal advisory services and representing clients before various courts. He later served as the Head of Legal and General Manager of House of Justice Law Firm in the UAE, where he led legal teams and delivered specialized legal services to major banks and prominent institutions. He also worked as a Legal Advisor at United International Group (UIG), offering comprehensive legal support on commercial and administrative matters. His cores competencies include complex legal case management, risk assessment, contract drafting, dispute resolution, and strategic legal advisory at the executive level. Mr. Hatem holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Zagazig University, class of 2002, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Criminal Law. He has been a member of the Egyptian Bar Association since 2002 and continues to serve as a member to this day.
