Learners gaining this qualification will know that cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation are an essential part of the chain of survival. The topics covered are seen by industry to be important in maintaining good practice in the safe, quick and effective administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation.
Level 2 International Award in Basic Life Support and Use of AED
The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to assess an incident. The qualification also covers first aid skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR for adult, child and infant), safe use of an AED and assisting a casualty who is choking and dealing with external bleeding and hypovolemic shock, also how to provide first aid for minor injuries.
Level 3 International Award in Emergency First Aid, AED & CPR for all ages
The qualification provides learners with an understanding of: the requirements of health, safety and welfare; the benefits of a health and safety management system; the risks and control methods for common workplace hazards; the principles of risk assessment and incident investigation.
Level 3 International Award in Health and Safety in the Work Place (RFQ)
This qualification is designed to be an introduction to the principles of Risk Assessment. It covers why risk assessments are necessary including the main causes of workplace fatalities, injuries and ill health, the role of risk assessment in the prevention of accidents and ill health and simple processes for carrying out a risk assessment. It is suitable for learners working in any environment who need to be more risk aware by raising their knowledge of risk in the workplace and basic things they can do to control it.
Level 2 International Award in Risk Assessment
This qualification has been designed specifically for those working in the role of a fire safety warden. Fire wardens are individuals who have been designated the responsibility to support the ongoing management of fire safety. Their role is to contribute to the safety of those who may need to be evacuated in the instance of a potential fire safety breach.
Level 2 International Award in Fire Safety or Fire Warden
The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace. It is a practical qualification suitable for new and experienced trainers (external and internal) who wish to improve their classroom skills and obtain a training qualification which will enable them to deliver Highfield qualifications (excluding those that require a regulated teaching qualification). It has been developed to allow centres the opportunity to offer a highly interactive practical training course for International clients. The focus of the qualification is on effective delivery of training, allowing learners to develop planning, preparation and delivery skills, including delivery methods, questioning techniques, time management and management of groups and individuals.
Level 3 International Award in Delivering Training
The objective of this qualification is to support learners to become emergency first aiders in the workplace. The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to assess an incident. The qualification also covers first aid skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and assisting a casualty who is choking and dealing with external bleeding and hypovolemic shock, also how to provide first aid for minor injuries.
Level 3 International Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
Learners will become familiar with the role of the paediatric first aider and be able to assess and react appropriately to an emergency situation, such as a child or an infant who is unresponsive, has an airway obstruction, has breathing difficulties or is suffering from shock.
Level 3 International Award in Emergency Pediatric First Aid & AED
This qualification is aimed at learners who have access to any environment where coming into contact with hazardous substances is likely. This includes workplaces in areas such as manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and office environments as well as classroom environments. The qualification provides learners with the knowledge and skills needed to recognise the risks associated with hazardous substances and how to control them.
Level 2 International Award in Control of Substance Hazardous to Health (RFQ)
Learners gaining this qualification will know that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace and will recognise their contribution in the prevention of fires and fire spread.
Level 1 International Award in Fire safety
This qualification will enable learners to understand the principles and purpose of effective accident and incident investigation in the workplace, the contributing factors, the process of investigating, including positive interview techniques, analysis of evidence gathered, setting a plan of action to prevent a reoccurrence and to understand reasons why some investigations might fail.
Level 3 International Award in Accident and Incident Investigation
This qualification has been developed for learners working in any environment who will have a job role involving work in confined space activities. Topics within this qualification include; responsibilities of individuals, requirements for the use of safe system of work in confined spaces, selecting and following correct and safe techniques for work in confined spaces.
Level 1 International Award in Working in confined spaces
The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to assess an incident. The qualification also covers first aid skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and assisting a casualty who is choking and dealing with external bleeding and hypovolemic shock, also how to provide first aid for minor injuries.

The aim of the qualification is to provide candidates with knowledge of the basic health and safety practices essential in the workplace. Achievement of this qualification will enable learners to work safely and to recognise and deal with hazards in the workplace, and ensure awareness of costeffective, practical control methods.
Level 2 International Award in Health and Safety in the Work Place
This qualification has been developed for learners working in any environment who will have a job role involving work at height activities. Topics included within this qualification include; requirements for the use of equipment, correctly selecting and using equipment safely and correct techniques when using equipment.
Level 2 International Award in Working at height
Learners gaining this qualification will know that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace and will recognise the consequences of a fire in any premises.
Level 2 International Award in Fire Safety
Learners gaining this qualification will know that food safety is the responsibility of everyone involved in the storage, preparation, cooking service and handling of food. Learners will understand the importance of maintaining good practice in the production of safe food.
Level 2 International Award in Food Safety
